And you may be able to complete an adoption faster via an out-of-state agency. However, also be aware that many private adoption agencies in non-urban areas are also often very evangelical Christian-based, so if you are not a straight Christian couple, that may not be a viable option. I know several gay couples who have adopted successfully through Adoptions Together.
