Occasional? They are there every single day even during covid.

This is everything! Tailgating at McD.

+1 this is my airport breakfast and I fly 2-4 times a week in the morning.

My grandparents eat fast food with regularity, but it’s rare that they finish their sandwich or order their own fry. Much more typical for them to split a meal or to find half a sandwich “for tomorrow” in the fridge.

They're having more fun than I am, as I sit here alone eating oat bran and an apple. I'm 37.

+1. My 82yo father eats lunch there almost every day. He usually gets a hamburger.

Everything in moderation.

A lot of them are probably just having coffee (and it is probably a lot fewer calories and sugar than many young people consume in their Starbucks drinks)

Just saying

The breakfast is really convenient. In and out of there in less than 5 minutes and I buy my family a full breakfast.

+1

There was also a guy in that Supersize Me McDonalds expose that went every day and ate a Big Mac (I think that is what it was?). No fries etc. He was older and not overweight I don’t think.

My grandparents use to go there as a treat (for them, it was) and split a meal. They still thought the portions were ridiculously large. Many older folks do not eat a huge amount.

I think it may also be more of a social thing (which isn’t bad)! Often over coffee (way cheaper than coffee shops) and many elderly are on a limited income or very frugal.

The same way you explain the 80 year olds who smoke. Correlation is not causation.

Every single morning McDonalds is filled with 80 and 90 year old seniors who have been eating there for decades.

If McDonalds food is not very healthy for you, shouldn't most of those elderly seniors be dead by now?
