I also had the city mini with my first and got an uppababy vista off a listserv for my second. I have to say I do prefer the uppababy so far though baby is still small. I don’t love folding it or how big it is (I would probably prefer a crux but since you’re having another soon vista makes sense) but I still just really like that baby can face you and I’ve been using an infant insert and it has worked great for these newborn days. I also love the deep basket, great when we walk up to the farmers market etc

I got the nuna mixx 2 over the vista because when I folded them up next to each other, the nuna has a much better fold profile for the trunk. I also rarely ever used the damn thing, so it was succhhhhh a waste of money. However, then when I used a cheap umbrella stroller on a trip I wanted to chuck it over a bridge it was so awful, and I was missing the nuna. Can't win.

I don’t like the citi mini! Heavy, and slouchy.

If you’re not going to fold it up, I would get a used Bugaboo. It can be really old, they hold up well, the ride is super nice and all the fabric is washable.

Then I would get a compact stroller for the car. Minu, yo-yo, etc.

I’m the PP. yes, it does require both hands but once you get the mechanics down I can collapse or unfold in less than 2 seconds. Very easy. What I also liked was the huge basket and the ability to flip the seats to either face me or away. We use the roller board and the big kid riding likes to have the baby face him and entertain her.

Just get the Vista. I have a city mini that I got when I lived in a walk up and I probably won't bother upgrading/changing now that I'm pregnant with #3, but overall I think UPPAbaby is the best and the Vista works for two kids too. If I were getting a new stroller I'd get a Babyzen Yoyo. My other two are out of strollers and the Yoyo is great for travel.

Personally, I love the Bugaboo Donkey but I never fold it. It is also crazy expensive. It is an exceptional stroller for two children. But I also love it for just one. It is actually smaller than the Vista when in the single configuration (doesn’t look it but it is because of how the wheels are setup). It has a super nice push! Much nicer than its competitors. Also you can have the baby facing/nearest to you which you can’t do with the Vista. It isn’t that much more than the vista. Honestly, if you can afford it (or buy use), I would get the Donkey.


Fold and unfold a lot, and it will probably usually be used from the car. Definitely not carrying up a flight of stairs. I'll look into the bugaboo too, thanks!

Hey everyone,

I am seriously so confused about which stroller I should get. I really only want one, as we live in a townhouse with fairly limited space. I won't be using it to walk for errands and stuff, mostly just park visits and walks around the neighborhood (3 miles tops at a time). I had a City Mini with my first and loved the one-handed fold, so that's definitely on the list. I'm also considering an UppaBaby Vista (we will hopefully have another baby within 2 years). Anything else I should be considering? Comfortable push is the name of the game for me, as well as ease to fold up and unfold.
