Moved to the District in early 90s. The lawless free for all vibe is starting to creep back in, and I haven’t felt that way in _decades_. That creepy dread where you don’t quite feel safe even in statistically safe-ish areas. The sense that trends are going in the wrong direction. The ^#&$ helicopters with spotlights, again

(And before you say it, fake-woke troll, I’m no pearl clutcher. I was living here in Barry town when you were either a fetus or peeing in your cartoon Pull-Ups in a safe Main Line suburb)

I used to think all these crime posts were a bit too much - but yeah this needs to stop. Something is wrong.

Tsk. Tsk. Biden should speak out, too. People can't even feel safe going to a baseball game.

Hope everyone got home safely. Too many guns in the hands of people who have lost their minds.

DC doesn't get to pick our prosecutors for felonies because we're not a state. So if you live in VA or MD, ask your members of Congress to choose us a good US attorney.

So DC would pick hard law and order types if they could?

You know people get shot with some regularity on the blocks just west of nats park, right? This isn't a new thing

Bowser wants to increase MPD's budget. Allen wants violent criminals to walk

Another Saturday Night in Bowserville. This is unreal - the first time I’ve ever felt remotely unsafe living here and it’s been decades.
