Well, congratulations to you and your over 12 kids? For the many of us whose kids are too young to be vaccinated, this is a nightmare especially in combination with the lack of a virtual school option (I am fully in favor of eliminating virtual school, but you can't do that and then also enforce quarantines).
This demonstrates to me that DC still does not have a plan about how to really have a robust in-person school system in the fall (including likely excessive quarantining) and, of all things in the past 16 months, is the thing that will make me consider leaving the city.

These arbitrary rules are infuriating. I took my family to the Smithsonian this weekend. They weren’t enforcing the mask rules (tons of kids without), so we had partially maskless indoor contact with people from all over the country. Totally fine for my kids to return to school/camp the next Monday. But god forbid we drive to a cabin in WV for a long weekend. Totally risky quarantine time!
