I thought most travel soccer teams around here don’t allow you to do both. How could one be on a travel soccer team in the spring AND do HS soccer. Practice and games overlap in spring. And sometimes the kids who play travel soccer don’t even try out for the team because it is not a good use of their time and the competition can be weak. And some really unathletic kids never make a team.

DC was never able to play on a travel team because of co-parenting schedule and distance, but loves the game and plays pick up games regularly. How competitive are the HS teams? Will DC be out of luck trying out against kids who've been playing team soccer all their lives?
