I like it as a nn only. It seems like naming your baby "girl".

Nina is a beautiful name. It’s formal on its own. Classic and strong.

I love it. My DS has a teacher named Nina that he's luke warm on, otherwise it would be on my list for the upcoming DD.

Pretty, classic, easy to spell - it's great.

My sister was Carina. My childhood nickname for her was Nina. So I like it, but it might not outlast early childhood.
Would you consider a name with the nickname Nina so that she could have a more formal name when she was older e.g., Catalina, Florentina?

Great name! Check out the recent biography of Al Hirschfeld, who did amazing sketches of celebrities in which he hid his daughter's name - Nina! They used to be published in the NY Times while he was alive in the Sunday edition, and I always loved finding the hidden "Ninas".

Hate it! The "een" sound specifically.

I love it! Have since I was a little girl. Classic and easy to spell and not too common. Makes me think of a sweet, kind and smart girl.
