I like cologne. But it depends on the person. If you do go the cologne route, apply lightly.

Soap. I don't want to smell your cologne. I want to smell that you're clean.

Eww I do not want to smell Tide on you. That's gross.

Cologne is a huge turn-off for me. Just be clean. A light hint of deodorant, laundry detergent or soap is nice and I don't care what the scent is as long as it is not overpowering.
