You are overthinking it. But there is nothing you can do. LOL. Does he get enough sleep? Does he eats well? if yes, then there is nothing else to do...

My 13yr. old is now taller than me, I'm 5'4" and that's super exciting to him. His voice hasn't changed at all. I'm not ready for that for sure..

My DS's growth spurt started just after 13.5.

I'm 56 and my growth spurt happened from just before my 17th birthday until just after my 17th birthday. I grew 6 inches over 9 months. I entered junior year of high school at 5'2" and left at 5'8". For some of us, it just takes longer.

Overthinking. My son was still wearing size 12 clothes the spring of Grade 8. They were a bit tight and a bit short, but still fit.

That summer I bought him a bunch of size 14 stuff for fall. When he came back from the summer camp in August, I went right back to the store for size 16. He completely skipped a clothing size and 2 shoe sizes. I guess he did not notice it with shorts and sandals.

My DH was super short until he was a Sophomore in HS. His nickname was shorty. He is now 6'2. He had a super late growth spurt. I think it just happens to some kids.

My son is almost 13 and still physically a little boy (5’0” 85lbs).

Some of his friends are the same size as he is (and even smaller), others are starting to look like men already!

My DH was a very late bloomer (ended up 6’0”) but didn’t grow until he was well into high school.

Unfortunately it will be the same for DS, it appears.

I’m average sized (5’5”)

This has become a problem in DS’s eyes over the past year or so (becoming a huge disadvantage for sports) but really..what can you do?

In school, there is a huge variety but in youth sports I’m noticing mostly early developers stick with team sports as the late developing kids drop off and give up.

DS is 17 and will be 18 in the Fall. Right before the lockdown we went to the pediatric endo because he wasn't growing and his bone scan showed he was 16 yo in a 13 yo body. He's now almost 6 feet tall and his dr. says he'll keep growing into his sophomore year of college. His weight is another story, but he's built slim and is really active. On the flip side his 14 yo brother has facial hair, a cracking voice, and looks so much older at 14 than older DS did.

DS 16, didn't hit puberty till 15. But both parents are late bloomers. No growth spurt yet either. Some kids don't go through a large growth spurt.

DH hit his growth spurt around 16. Now over 6'

My son did not start to grow or show any signs of puberty until 14 and many of his friends are still shorter than he is (and he's only 5'8" now at 15) and still have high voices.

I remember lots of guys in 8th and 9th grade who hadn't hit their growth spurt yet. I'm a very petite female (5'0) and I remember being the same height as many of them.

No, his dad was not late bloomer.

My now 14.5 year old has had a growth spurt in the past few months. He went on a weekend hiking trip a month before his 14th birthday, and came home with a deeper voice. He has grown about 2 inches since that time, too. His pictures from 13.5 still have his baby face. I almost didn't recognize him when I picked him up from a week-long summer camp a few weeks ago. His face looks so much more grown up now, and my mind's eye still sees him as the baby I knew for 14 years. I know some boys don't really get their growth spurt till 15 or so.

Overthinking. As the girl who was 5'8" in sixth grade, I was still towering over many, many of the boys in my class in 9th and even 10th grades. Give time.
