Isn't loss of use for when you can't drive your own car because it's being repaired, like from a collision? Why would you want that for a rental car?
NP. Yes, loss of use is when you can't drive your own car because it's being repaired. For a rental car, while an auto policy may cover damage and/or any claims resulting from use of the rental car, it will not cover the rental car company's damages for loss of use (i.e. having the rental car out of circulation while it is being repaired). The rental car company is not an insured entity under the personal policy.
