DP, I think it's you who has the inflated ego if you expect everyone to know and contact you only with specific hours. Put your phone on silent, and it's no problem. People have different schedules and you/they respond when they can.

If you are going to get a phone and text like a grownup, you can set a DND like a grownup.

However, I assume people mute their texts when they do not want to be disturbed. If there's an emergency in the middle of the night, I assume someone is calling me, not texting...
