I wouldn’t want you to be underprepared, so please prepare “for real”, but in my experience at several different companies is that a final interview that’s 30 minutes long, with someone who is several levels above your role, is to check the box. For example, my current boss (VP) has his directs (myself and my peers) do all of the real interviewing, with technical and behavioral questions, and then wants to meet the final candidate. It’s usually a 30 minute meeting. I don’t know exactly what he asks but I’m pretty sure it’s not any real technical stuff. Good luck!

I’ve been with my current company for so long I’ve honestly forgotten how this works and I’m incredibly anxious. Plus, I’m used to final interviews being at least an hour long.

Anyways, I have a final interview with the VP of HR on Thursday for a Senior Technical Recruiter position. I had my first I review with the hiring manager/person I’d be reporting to. My second was a mock exercise and a writing exercise with a team member. This last interview is 30 minutes with the VP of the department. What should I expect? Technical or behavioral?
