Guy late 40s: 5 years - 15 1-2 dates, 3 that were weeks-months and one 3 year relationship.

Even after people meet you in person, they’re still looking for a reason to “swipe left” on you and see if there’s a better deal out there.

It’s going to take you a LOT longer than two weeks to find someone, sorry.

I’ve been at it off and on for almost 3 yrs. It took 2 yrs to find someone I saw more than 3 times. At this point I’ve gotten 2 FWB, and one non-exclusive 6 month situationship out of it. You’re in very early days...

My very first date after my divorce (or during actually) led to a three year relationship. That ended. Took a short break. First person I met after that break is my current 6yr relationship.
(not looking to remarry if anyone is curious why i am in all these long term relationships).

Lol - me too!! Went on one date and we both canceled subscriptions. We’ve been married 11 years.

I dated four people before finding the one. I went on about 15 online first dates in all I think.

I met "the one" through friends, not online. Keep asking everyone you know to set you up!

Probably about 30 different guys. Most more than one date. But I realized after meeting DH that I didn't do a good job really weeding out ones I shouldn't have given the time of day to.

Hmmm, it's been a while but when I was online dating, I remember dating for a few months (lots of first dates but nothing worked out), took a break for a while, then jumped back in. Then about 5 first dates in, I met my now DH.

I think it's just a matter of luck when you meet someone that you click with. Could be date no. 2, could be date no. 22.

It's good that you're having lots of first dates and requests for second dates. Don't lower your standards, keep going until you find someone you're really excited about.

You’re not going to like this answer- 3 years. Many, many first dates, numerous second dates and lots of dead space in between. But after 20 years of marriage I didn’t want to settle.

OP here. Yes, three of the six asked me out on second dates. Not feeling it with any of them.
