No. The kit only shows that you are ramping up to ovulate. However, depending on how short or how long your LH surge is, ovulation could be underway at the time you get the positive, or it could be 24-48 hours later. Thus, the kit does not indicate when you ovulated or even if you ovulated successfully. Charting your basal temps is the only way to verify you ovulated. 24 hours or so following ovulation, your basal temperature will rise and stay high until your next period begins. Yes, this is correct. Once you get the peak/solid smiley...stop testing for the remainder of the cycle. The smile is locked for 48 hours. If you test after that, the unit assumes you have started a new cycle/month. The solid smiley means you are at peak fertility. Ideally, you should time sex the day before, the day of, and the day after you get the solid smiley. If you can only hit one of these days, go for the day you get the solid smiley, as soon as possible after getting it.

My cycles are usually 28-32 days and I surprisingly got a smiley on my digital test yesterday - day 11. Another smiley last night and this morning. I have right side ovulation pain and tend to get cysts on that side. Will the smiley go away after I ovulate? First time using these.
