I think adults do a lot of unfair judging of other adults plus I tend to talk a lot which annoys them as well.

With children, you basically get back what you put in.
Plus I have a very youthful personality along w/a great imagination as well.

Very true, which is why I love interacting with kids!

My father was like this with small kids. Apparently my friends' parents used to drop off my friends (preschool - early elementary) to our house on the weekend so he could make them eat their vegetables. We'd play all day, and he'd organize little activities for us, make lunch and wheedle them into eating it all, make silly faces and noises... My kids love him too, although now he's slowed down considerably. He was still active enough, a few years ago, to trot to school with my 6 year old daughter, pretending to be a pony. One of the most cherished childhood memories of my now tween daughter

You likely have a pureness/kindness about you that children can sense. Children, particularly young ones, are very in tune with the Universe and vibrations.

Children used to gravitate toward me when I was a teenager, but not anymore.

My husband attracts everyone's cat because he is diffident and ignores them. They know their own kind.

Maybe it's the same with kids and your particular energy?

But like some of the other posters, I like kids way more than I like most adults. I kept trying to find careers that involved kids that paid well but American does not respect those who take care of kids. Maybe I will be a preschool teacher in my next career.

For me it’s because I’m honest and authentic like kids.

Adults like you to lie to them and agree with them on everything. They need so much validation and attention.

Kids just wanna have fun.

I'm like that. Kids tell me I look like a Disney princessand love to hang around. I have a huge smile and am upbeat and encouraging

Some people are like that. Babies LOVE my dad. Cats love me, even though I hate cats.

I seem to be like that. I'm in my 60s but know younger people with families (no grandchildren, one son who is nowhere near becoming a father) and their kids adore me. Kids ignore me but adults are constantly in my orbit. Dogs too.

My sister is like that. I’m not sure why either. She is almost like an adult child, in many ways (including ways that are very annoying, like not cleaning up after herself). She is also very gentle and beautiful and she smiles a lot.

I have always felt like other people my age (adult) don't really like me all that much. Like I'm no one's favorite, no one gets that excited to see me, etc. But kids? Kids LOVE me. They gravitate towards me, it's weird.
