We had nice dinnerware, but at some point during a meal when my kids were 2 and 5 I turned to DH and said “OMG we are going to have to get Corelli.” We packed up the nice stuff and got the Corelle. Hate it in some ways, but it lets the kids set the table, clear the table and load the dishwasher without us freaking out if a dish gets broken.

They’ve carried Apilco and Pillivuyt for decades. If you like the look, I’d go with one of those lines.

I have some Apilco serving pieces and they're very sturdy. They stay perfectly white for ages.

+1. I've had Denby for 25+ years and it's indestructible, and I love the look and feel, too. There's a lot of discontinued Denby on Ebay, so when I find a pattern I like I keep adding to it as it becomes available.

Denby. I got a set for our wedding 14 years ago and it has held up very well.

We have had this set for years and love it. Very durable.

There have been a lot of threads on this in the past, so I suggest searching for them. People tend to suggest Fiestaware and Crate and Barrel Aspen the most.

My current set of dinnerware, although only a few years old, isn’t holding up well - chipping, knife marks on plates, etc. I want to replace it and am looking for something that will be durable (resistant to chipping, good glaze, etc) but not something like Corelle. Online reviews don’t always speak to long term durability so would like recommendations. I like simple, round, and prefer things that stack well.
