There are plans, rollout is slow but give it 2-3 years

Yes, they are adding several local level IVs every year. We are at a center, but I think this is a good thing.

That's what level III is. I think they are making sure advanced math is at all schools, but not sure when that implementation will finish.

With local level IV at all schools they may have more flexibility to do more with level III.

level III is a one hour a week pull out at our school.

Anonymous wrote:How many ES in FCPS have 2 classes per grade? We are at Fox Mill, which is pretty small, and have 4 classes per grade. There are about 600 kids at the school. I am pretty certain it is one of the smaller ES in FCPS, but a quick google search is not bringing up just an easy breakdown of kids per school.

Honestly, I would be surprised if there are too many schools that are under 400 kids.

But I believe that all ES are suppose to have a Local Level IV program by 2023-2024.

Our ES has two classes in the lower grades (K-2), then more classes 3rd and up. It's an AAP Center. In 3rd this year, there were two gen ed and two AAP. I think that branches out to three and three in 5th/6th.

They are adding some every year. They have not said if centers will stay or go, but most have assumed go.

So are centers staying for 2021-2022 school year? Hope so because we just moved assuming my kids will go to the center (not the local which is pretty bad)

Yes. However like last year your kid may be in-pool based on a local building norm at your school (if you have local level IV) or a county-wide norm (if you don't).

I would like it if AAP went back to pull outs at local schools.

There is no indication that Centers are going anywhere right now. I won’t be surprised if the Centers eventually disappear but it is not going to be in the near future.

Then one class will the be LLIV class. All elementary schools will have one (or more?) LLIV or Level IV class.

Like the small neighborhood schools with 2 classes per grade and no room for more
