Are places like Macalaster and Oberlin matches or reaches? Can they ever be considered safeties?

Visit - in my dd’s opinion, Wooster was a booming metropolis compared to Juniata- unless we missed something while we were at Juniata. We saw a lot of closed down stores driving in and boarded up business in town.

He didn’t mind the town of Wooster. It’s actually bigger than Gambier and Oberlin. He just didn’t think anything about the school stood out in a positive way. He wasn’t excited about it but also there wasn’t anything negative either.

Anyone have insight about Clark?

Strong for STEM but there are some interesting other options, like “Peace Studies”

Is Juniata better for STEM? For some reason I had that impression.

Yes, full pay.

Vassals and Grinnell are on the list but I assume they are matches/reaches.

For a boy with high stats (both grades and test scores), what are some good choices for liberal arts colleges that would be considered likelies? He visited Wooster and was not sure about it. Other options? Would probably prefer a place that has low key Greek or no Greek. Isn’t super sporty. He is more humanities focused than STEM.
