35 and 38. I’m average shape and office job. Immediate postpartum was way easier than I expected. But then a few months later I felt crappy, anemic and hormonal lay off for a long time!

29. Vaginal delivery with no epidural or medications. No complications. Minimal discomfort after delivery and I was walking around the hospital almost directly after. Very easy recovery.

About a month shy of 27. I worked out regularly way before even thinking of getting pregnant, worked out through my pregnancy, and was going for a walk each day the day after getting home from the hospital. Vaginal midwife birth, no complications. I continued doing that until six weeks, when I was cleared to start working out again. I was at my pre-pregnancy weight before maternity leave was over.
It's easy for me to say it's easy, but the truth is, I was in great shape going into things, and had no complications (nor did my baby). I also had a wildly supportive husband, we were able to afford to hire whatever help we wanted, and it was the first baby.

31. Pregnant right off of BCP. Easy pregnancy easy recovery healthy easy baby. Too easy actually as I was pregnant 4 mos post partum, despite EBF and not having a cycle back yet.

35. Got pregnant right away. Easy pregnancy, long induction that ended in a c section after 2 days and followed by postpartum preeclampsia a week after delivery. Recovery was bad. I’m 10 months out now but still get shaken when I think about the birth and postpartum. Healthy, fit person pre pregnancy, during pregnancy, and now after finally getting off blood pressure meds.

Kids at 36 and 38. Easy pregnancies, easy deliveries, easy recoveries both times. The second time I was barely even sore.

First child at 37. Vaginal delivery with a very minor tear. Physical recovery was a breeze, and I felt mostly back to normal within a week or so. But I had crippling PPD/PPA exacerbated by a baby with severe reflux who didn’t sleep for more than 2 hours at a time until she was 6mo. EBF…BFing itself was easy for me, but I had an oversupply (not necessarily always a good thing), and baby nursed constantly because of the reflux.
Second child at 41. Quick vaginal delivery, no tearing. Physical recovery was again very easy…but it was so easy that I overdid it and had much more intense post-partum bleeding…so take it easy, no matter how great you think you feel. I managed to avoid the worst of the PPD the second time around, thankfully. I ended up combo feeding pretty early on with my second child. I didn’t have the supply I had the first time around, so we started supplementing with a bottle of formula a day when she was around a week or so old.

33, induction due to labor not progressing after my water broke, 3rd degree tear but it healed fine and quickly. The whole thing was pretty fast all things considered - maybe 15 hours or so. Second labor at 35 was easier.

30, no complications, no tearing, easy pregnancy - was exercising for 45 min each day right up to 2 days before labor. Felt so smug then had a baby who NEVER SLePt and was in a fog for 2 months wanting to die.
