So far (fingers crossed) our 17 month old is very compliant and physically cautious, so hopefully getting him to stand on the board will be doable. I'm more worried about the strength/balance required, but it sounds like with a few practice runs, and no hope of any speed, this may be doable. We also may wear the youngest from time to time too.

i could do it around that age but you have to go slow because they aren't steady yet. so you can't just put the 2 year old and zoom down the sidewalk at your normal pace.
the first few times the kids were nervous as they got used to it and keeping their balance. i would suggest using it at some off times when you can take your time and let everyone practice.
you also have to teach them that they can't just hop off or put their foot on the ground. teach them it is a safety thing that both of their feet always have to stay on the board.
and it goes without saying, you are completely dependent on the willingness and mood of the toddler!

We had a similar situation (had twins when older was 24 months) and the 24 was capable of using the roller board although didn't always want to. We would sometimes switch it up and wear one of the babies- not sure of the ages of the other two that will be in the stroller but we were also able to put our kids in a carrier until at least two years old so you should be able to sometimes wear one of them if you want. But yes, the 2 year old could use the roller board at that age (and we had the Vista)

Thanks for the response. Again, long story, but there are three kids involved on these trips, so there would already be two others in the stroller. My son is the oldest of the three.

It might be okay, but at that age, we just bought the extra seat and adapter for the stroller to turn it into a double when both needed to ride. We've gotten a lot of use out of it. We'll probably transition to a kickboard or scooter in the next year when DD is somewhere between 3 and 4.

It would be very convenient if my toddler could ride on the ride-along board of a stroller (specifically the UppaBaby Vista, if that matters) starting when he's 24 months old. This would be for short-ish walks (3-5 blocks), but pretty regularly.

He's only 17 months old now, so it's hard to tell. When could your kid handle the ride-along board? Will he be too little?

(We would also have a regular stroller for him, this would only be for one specific use-case, it's a long story).
