Give it to now. By Christmas she may have other plans. If I worked for someone for two years and you don't even give a week's pay for a bonus, you would not be seeing me again.

What did you give her as a year-end bonus last year? I would probably give her half of last year’s bonus now and a separate gift at the holidays.

Our nanny of two years is leaving us to pursue her studies full time, but still will be with us for evening babysitting 2-3 days per week. I wanted to give her a bonus as thanks for all of her hard work (about $500), but wasn't sure if I should do it now, or just give it to her as part of her end of the year bonus, since she will still be working with our family. Any thoughts?
