There is nothing "natural" about it. The isolation has been terrible on our health, including our immune systems. People all of a sudden can't handle a simple cold?

There are a lot of illnesses where you are contagious before you have any symptoms (common cold, for example). Doesn't mean it's some sort of failure on the part of other parents, it's just life.

Yes, that is my theory for why these colds have been spreading even while kids are masked. Kids touches door knob and then touches eyes/face or mouth (at lunch or at home).

We are doing our best, but when we have a negative covid test and it takes 2 weeks for the runny nose to fully stop, we do not wait the full 2 weeks to send back.

Most people I know are keeping their kids/selves home when they have the disastrous cold that's been going around. It still seems to be spreading anyway.

I personally think the viral interference of COVID nearly disappearing in our area is a big part of what's letting all these other normal illnesses return. And believe it or not, that might be better for us long-term.

So many people I know had their kids come home sick from camp.

My kids have not been sick for 16 months. Our preschool was uber strict with sickness. Any symptoms required a negative covid test to return. No one came to school sick.
