No.

It's the quality of the lacrosse skills being developed as well as the private school coaches pull with college coaches.

The private school game is much more sophisticated and skilled than your typical public school game. Yes there are some public school powerhouses like Riverside but they rely on 3-4 star college bound players rather than true team play.

You have clearly never stepped foot in an actual private school in your life.

Even the best player on a public school team in this area would be more of a contributor in a private school setting, because there will be others that match that advanced style of play. So yes, private school is a factor. But the public school kid can rely on their club for help in recruiting.

“Grade inflation” “parents paying for grades” you're joking right.

Grade inflation is much more rampant in Private Schools where parents are paying for the grades.

Usually the best lacrosse players end up going to private schools. There are some expectations though and sometimes there are really good players that just don’t want to go private.

They’re not being recruited for their grades and academic skills but for their lacrosse skills, duh. And the better players come from private schools.

What’s stupid (and ridiculous) is commenting like that for someone asking a question

While not impossible to get recruited from a public, it is much easier to do so from a private where the level of competition is more established. I’d say 80% of my D1 son’s teammates went to privates.

I’d say 80 percent of my kids club team is attending private.

Parents are use to paying a tuition. Coaches like that.

I have noticed that for top programs the majority of college rosters are filled with kids who attended private schools. Do the top colleges lack faith in public school education? Granted, grade inflation is rampant everywhere but I guess straight As in public school doesn’t hold the same weight as straight As in private school.
