Only if I happen to take a particularly adorable picture I want to share. Maybe monthly?

I don't but my H often does. Should I be worried?

Another nanny here who’s happy to hear from my employers and/or charges on weekends and off hours.
This isn’t a normal 9 to 5 job. I don’t stop loving or caring about my charges just because it’s after hours. If they need me - they can always call.

I encourage my employers and my "kids" to contact me anytime need be. I don't have to answer a text immediately but it's a special kind of relationship. I don't stop caring just because it's Saturday.

My 2 yo is going through a stage of very strong attachment to our nanny. He cries for her on weekends. I share the videos with her sometimes of him demanding to see her and going to the garage to look for her car.
It’s sweet/sad but I like for her to know how much he really does love her.

I’m a nanny and I like the weekend texts and occasional photo. I love my charges and it’s not as if I stop thinking of them outside business hours.
If my employers were constantly texting about scheduling or asking where things were or sending me grocery lists, I would feel differently. But the “we miss you” texts and the “baby took a step!” Texts are very welcome.

Yes, actually. My boss and I are good friends and usually text on weekends.
Our nanny’s English isn’t good enough to text on weekends (or ever) unfortunately.

Absolutely not. I don't want my nanny to think about work when they're off the clock at all.

I am an executive assistant. If you're initiating stop. You're their boss, let them not have to waste mental energy on you over the weekend.

Sure! We’ve all gotten extremely close this past year and she’s part of the family now.
She’s off today so I just texted her to tell her the baby got her second tooth and what DH and I thought of the season ended of Handmaids.

I try to stick to non kid things. Like a funny meme or celebrity gossip I know she will care about.

Not for anything important but just to share something the kids did or said, or just to say hi?
Our nanny and I have a pretty close relationship and she and I do check in. Sometimes I’ll text a photo.
Is this unusual? My two friends with good nannies do the same.
