yes you pay the same. We have a sitter for our 9 yo 3 hours a day twice a week in the afternoons while we work. I could leave DD home but she would be in front of screens, this way she can go to the pool or to her martial arts class. Also I. Don’t want her making her own dinner just yet. Anonymous wrote:If the choice is kids stuck in the house all day or hiring someone who can drive them to pool, to meet friends at park, not over the top at all. If you were hiring a sitter for a couple tween/teens while you went out to dinner, that would seem unnecessary unless your kids are really not responsible enough or maybe 11/12 and scared to be alone (in which case it would be a good idea to slowly have them work on this - go on a 15 min walk, 30 min to run an errand, an hour to go shopping, etc.)
