Arlington, Loudoun, VSA, PWSI and Richmond's top teams until U-13 ECNL starts. For older age groups (U-13 and above) it will be 2nd teams as top teams will be in regular ECNL on their own or combined (i.e., VDA or Richmond United)

Not necessarily true (bold teams). VDA team is considered the top team within this structure (ECNL National). Remember, VDA's original concept was a merger of top vsa/pwci players, with others in the surrounding area joining. They both practice/play home games at both vsa/pwci fields. So essentially they would be considered b teams.

Beach FC is by far the best girls club. I won't miss the drive, but 2009s 1st place (State Cup semi-finalist), 2008s 1st place, 2007s 1st place (State Cup champs), 2006s 4th place (State Cup finalist), 2005s 3rd place (State Cup champion), 2004s 3rd place (State Cup semi-finalist), 2002s/2003s 1st place gave some legitimacy to the league.

CCL Showcase events will see a drop-off in college coach attendance on the girls side.

Do you have a rundown of all the clubs that will be in ECNL-R for next season, including their team placement (example: Arlington, 2nd team).

I don't know how they would've qualified without winning the Southeast championship. Did you hear that from a VYS person?

13 seed, ECNL Open Cup

I'm not seeing it there -- that takes me to ECNL standings.

You have to select U17 and also select Open Cup from the two drop down menus.

SOUTHEAST

U-13:
- VSA lost quarterfinals, won first consolation, lost second consolation to Vienna? (either the consolation teams decided to switch places or the ECNL site messed up)
- Vienna lost quarterfinal, lost first consolation, won second consolation over VSA? (or maybe Vienna also won its first consolation, or VSA lost -- the guy updating didn't know VYS from VSA)

Vienna lost the first game and won the next two. The site was updated incorrectly.

LOL, do tournaments really need a "seventh place game"?

When teams are traveling hours and staying at a hotel for a tournament, I think providing at least three games makes sense. How they did it makes the third game they play the most competitive possible (7th vs 8th, 5th vs 6th, 3rd vs 4th, and 1st vs 2nd). Not sure what your issue is.

There is probably a lot more than one, and fewer than one that the poster can spot.

I don't have an issue with that, but we used to call it a "consolation" game. I guess the seventh place team can at least say they weren't the worst team there.
