Most places use the same types of glass, maybe try the dealership and see who they use? If you’re making an insurance claim they will likely cover the dealer replacement

Pebble bounced up on highway and now Ive got a big crack.
I’ve had a bad experience with safelite (which is what my insurance covers fully) where the glass they used ended up being defective. I’m wondering if it’s worth it to try and find a different shop that specifically does auto glass? Also, do they all use cheap generic replacement glass or can I find a shop that will use the original manufacturer glass?
Any advice is appreciated! The car is fairly new and it kills me that the windshield needs replacing already!
