At least your BIL/SIL are being forthright with their status.

I have a relative who is playing the "maybe I am, maybe I'm not. That's my business & I respect HIPPA!" game on social media. Very frustrating as they will be at an older relative's birthday party this weekend, which prevents my family from attending (we have a vaccinated, but still high-risk teen family member). I ran it by this family member's Ped who said no, even with a mask they would not recommend attending.

That is obviously code for 'unvaccinated.'

I’m assuming you didn’t tell this relative that HIPAA doesn’t mean what they think it means?

No.

Only if they couldn’t get the vaccine because of a serious medical condition AND because they were in town for an emergency related to that condition.

No.

Not to mention, you’re then part of the problem, as you are not imposing any consequences for this choice. You would think at the bare minimum, the natural consequence of being an anti-science, child-endangering moron would be that you can’t stay in people’s houses. At least do that much for your fellow man.

Pakistan is taking away people’s cell service if they don’t get vaccinated. Do your part OP.

No, of course not. But you didn’t to crowd source this one. Stay strong, OP.

Nope. And if they pressed I’d leave town or not answer the door. We all get to make our own choices in the level of bs allowed into our homes. Unvaccinated folk can book a hotel or reschedule a few weeks after their second dose.

No, I wouldn't permit that.

No. No shot no visit.

I'd do the same. Selfish and unreasonable on their parts. They want to see you and the kids, they need to get their vaccines.

No. Even if I didn’t have unvaccinated kids. Hell no.

Nope. They've made their choice. They can live with the ramifications.

My brother in law and sister in law refuse to get the vaccine and are living their lives like there is no pandemic. They live in a state where case rates are going up. I’m not feeling comfortable with the idea of them coming to visit (via plane) and staying at our house with our unvaccinated kids. Am I being unreasonable?
