I mean there's a difference between the general prestige/experience of going to undergrad somewhere and the broader caliber of the university as a research institution. Some have both going for them

I went to UCSD and my kid is at W&M - they both belong on the list. Irvine does not.

Not ranked: Berkeley, UCLA, UVA, UNC, W&M, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Texas

My kids went to UVA. It's a Public Ivy.

I’d put Michigan ahead of Berkeley. More top ten departments.

You are missing UCSD.
