Keep any vehicles from Japan 🇯🇵…..

Stay away from Korean brand™️ KIA as well as anything Hyundai.
As Japanese vehicles age - they lose value a lot.
The Honda’s/Toyota’s/Subarus/Etc. will hold their values better.

This isn't a brand, but many people, including me, have problems with the first version of a re-designed model. I will never again buy a first model year redesign. Too many recalls, glitches, and in my case, problems that could never be fixed.

Volvo. Loved ours, but any little issue was soooo expensive.

Why are they "great cars" if they need so much $$$ maintenance?

Mercedes. 4-5 years is probably ok, but I had one that I held onto for 7.5 years, and the last year it needed about $4000 of work, and that doesn't include oil changes or new tires every two years.

Which brands would you not want to own when they are more than 3-4 years old?
