Also remember the coaching you get at a BSC or Potomac or McLean varies depending on the level. The fifth coach on McLean is probably worse than a top coach on Classic team.

I think you are comparing season cost to yearly cost and no tournaments included.

To be honest, once a kid is really into soccer, the cost increases quickly which make club fee insignificant.

If you’re thinking of joining MD Fusion or other paid coaches, compare the cost of joining a travel team at Potomac, Bethesda or MSI Academy. The costs are very similar but the coaching & development is far better.

I wouldn't panic about the 48 hours either.
That said, the better teams in DS's group, top bracket, with the exception of one team where I think the dad coaches were both D1 soccer players are all professionally coached.

Classic teams are independent of each other and make their own decisions.

Fusion is a decent small club in this area and should be a good choice. I known people playing there happily but not girl side.

Unless you know very well about other teams, they should be a safer choice rather than some less known club/ parent coached teams.

Btw,, few or none club enforce 48 hours notice.

OP, each MSI Classic are independent and operate separately.

Note: some teams have paid coaches like MD Fusion while others are parent-coached. Parent-coached teams are much cheaper to join. Don’t expect paid coached teams to be better or more competitive than parent-coached teams. My DD was with a parent-coached team and they routinely beat all paid coached teams.

She will likely be offered spots on lots of teams. Find the one that she likes the other girls/coach the best. Next most important is where they practice - you want convenience especially if you have other kids.

MD Fusion is AWESOME. Small accessible club with pro-trained coaches, much less cost/drama than the bigger clubs. I'd go for it.

OP you didn't say what grade your daughter is in. I find that MSI is good with answering questions over the phone - better than some other leagues.

So, my daughter has been playing MSI rec soccer for three years, and she wants something more challenging (so do we). She tried out for MSI Classic and has been offered a spot on the MD Fusion team. Is that the only spot she'll be offered? I have no idea how many teams there are with MSI Classic. Anyone familiar with that particular team? TIA
