Northeast Stars is NOT a Montessori daycare/school. They’re one of those places that just uses it in the name. Just be aware if what you’re looking for is a true Montessori experience.

Our child had a great experience with Northeast Stars Montessori last year, attending when she was 3-4 (i.e., her PK3 year, 2020-21). She learned and grew both academically as well as socially/emotionally, with very caring, attentive teachers.

My children's daycare has seats available for 2.5 to 5 year old children! Located in the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building (near Union Station), TMCDC is one of the 7,000 programs that are currently accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC accreditation is a rigorous and transformative quality-improvement system that uses a set of 10 research-based standards to collaborate with early education programs to recognize and drive quality-improvement in high-quality early learning environments. Less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools, and kindergartens nationally achieve this recognition.

We have love TMCDC's teachers, and the fact that they use the Good Food Company with ties to local farms and healthy meal and snack options really seals the deal for us!
