FTW! Done. Card (with gift card or cash?) later if you feel like it’s appropriate.

Bring a check. That's all you need.

There is no expectation for you to attend. If you do, you could just do a card with a small check.

This is what I think. You don’t have to go.

Your friend is either self-absorbed or has zero time management skills. Or both. I would not go. I would also question what kind of person she is to do this, and why I am hanging out with her. If she texted me later questioning why I did not show up, I would drop her narcissistic butt faster than a hot potato.

Not much better. 6 pm on a Sunday seems super sketchy like it’s just a gift grab.

Maybe she's doing the last minute party thing of "oh my gosh what if nobody shows up" and sent some panic texts.

You are under no obligation to attend a party that you are told about one hour beforehand.

Friend just texted a friend group (about six women) that they are having a graduation party for their son that starts in an hour. Our kids are not friends (that’s not how we know each other). I am not showered and have no gift. I really don’t want to go. But if I stop by do I need to bring a gift? Is this some sort of un-vitation?
