Really? The quotes from this book paint a different picture. She probably knows it's a matter of time before someone exposes her and is getting out ahead of it and admitting her bad behavior. I also 100% believe she knew about Lauer and did nothing to stop it. What a gem...

Of course not.

But rich people are weird—especially fading celebrities as they age. She’s likely trying to pull in a bucket of money to boost her portfolio while she still can.

She tried to get other projects and nothing panned out.

A tell all book is a last ditch effort at relevance and money. Plus, book tours are fun, not stressful. She will go on talk shows and hit whichever bookstore or large venue she wants. Her terms.

One article snarked that the title should have been “Katie Couric Burns Bridges.”

Think about it: she’s had access to so many people for decades. She has dirt. People will buy the book.

I’m guessing she needs to cash out now for retirement—especially after throwing that fancy wedding this summer.

I do not understand why she ventured into the tell-all venue. I guess she never wants to work at a network again? That said, I will read it 😀

She must be touring that book, because she will be at the Anthem end of October. I was just talking about this and wondered who are the people that would want to go to this and is there really enough to fill the Anthem?

Don't know a lot about her but tragic that she lost her first husband so early.

She's a genuinely nice person. She grew up in our neighborhood in a house down the street from us. Talked to her a couple of times when her parents still lived here. Her parents were really nice people too and they once gave our DD her email address so she could interview Katie for a school project (DD wanted to be a journalist).

I met her! Finally, a celeb I've met (although don't know). I ran into her at the baggage claim at BWI in the wee hours of the morning after coming in on a redeye. She was standing next to me as people approached her to say hello, and she was very nice and smiley even at that ungodly hour. She also did the commencement speech at my brother's graduation.

I like her. She's a NOVA native. Someone must know something about her! Is she as cheerful as she seems?? Her husband also seems very sweet and goofy.
