I wouldnt sweat it; kids that age LOOOVE butter. I remember when my niece's stood on her chair during a dinner at my mom's house and ran her finger through the butter dish on the table, scooping out a chunk. She was outraged when her parents grabbed her away and yelled "I want BIG butter!!"

Butter. Raw. Like a stick of butter from the fridge. Peel back the wax paper and take a bite. The child is craving fat. Butter is pure, delicious fat.

Raw means uncooked.

Raw butter, as in made with raw unpasteurized milk? I'd worry. Otherwise, the only thing I'd look for was some grease spots on the carpet.

I might worry about diarrhea sometime in the next 3 days. Not a guarantee though.

I'd be more upset if he cooked the butter!

When I was pregnant, I craved raw butter. I spread it on bread. I needed the fat, plus butter is delicious.

My childhood friend, who was profoundly gifted, used to eat sticks of butter. She was quite thin, too. I wonder if the craving is for fat, which nourishes the brain?
