I’m sorry you and OP have hd to deal with this nonsense.

OP, if you want to fight this, you should go to the state insurance commissioner or state delegate (not congressional rep) since this is a state law issue. Good luck!

That's terrible - insurance in this country is despicable. it should be up to your doctor to diagnose infertility not for the insurance to decide! You could try to go through the dispute process or speak to the insurance patient advocate department. As if dealing with infertility is not enough, we have to deal with insurance BS..

Sorry I don’t have experience with this but I agree with you that’s terrible. Certainly seems like insurance looking for a way not to cover it.

I've had RPL over the past two years, and my insurance is denying me coverage for IVF saying that infertility is the inability to conceive, not the inability to carry a live child. What kind of monstrous definition of infertility is this? Has anyone else had this experience of their insurance interpreting the Maryland mandate this way?
