This place would be an hour and a half away, but I have such sweet memories of taking my little one there long ago:

https://www.rockyacre.com/

It is an old fashioned farm. Kids get to milk cows, get eggs, go in a rowboat on their stream, ride the farmer's train made out of barrels, etc. (some of that may be out of date). So charming. And hearty breakfasts included.

If you have truly little ones, like under 5, check out Dutch Wonderland (which is only 20 minutes away). It is less corporate and has no pesky teens or big kid rides.

I am jealous that my kid is in college now, and you still get to have these wonderful family moments. Savor them!!

We stayed at the Springhill Suites a few times and it was definitely nice to be right there within walking distance of the park. It's faster to walk to that hotel than it was to walk back to our car when we parked in the Sesame Place lot. We've also done many day trips to Sesame and that's been fine too. It's a cute, easy little park perfect for those under 6.

Yes, stay at the hotel directly across from the park. It makes life so easy! We were always able to quickly walk back and change into dry clothes very easily and/or do naps, etc.

Spend a night in Philly (and go to the Please Touch museum!) and a night by Sesame. Specifically, stay at the Summerhill Suites right by the park. It makes everything so much easier.

Would you stay in Philadelphia and go to sesame place or should I book a place closer?

This will be just a 2.5 day trip. I would also like to eat in Philadelphia and walk around a bit. Wondering if I should spend one night by sesame and 1 night in Philadelphia.
