The Frostburg sleep away Bethesda camp is best for members of Bethesda. We did not have a good experience with that camp and do not recommend it.

What didn’t you like about the Frostburg camp, PP?

Day camps are hit or miss depending on which kids are there that week. My strongest advice would be to go to a camp where he has a few friends and a program that is pretty good.

The Frostburg sleep away Bethesda camp is best for members of Bethesda. We did not have a good experience with that camp and do not recommend it.

The day camps were very low key in the past. If you are looking for intensive training this isn't really it. You should do Super Y or Achilles. But your child would get a lot of touches with other kids who enjoy the game.

Camps are great in the summer, kids look forward to them

Yes, BSC and other clubs had an evening camp right before the season started but their "regular" camp was during the day only.

They did 1 evening camp precovid in august and my ds had a great time. We joined afterwards.

I think this is the first year they are doing two camps split by time of day. DC went to a full day camp before covid and had lots of fun. Decent mix of skill levels and friendly coaches.

Can any provide feedback as to how BSC’s evening camp (3 hours for 5 days) is for a 12/13 year old girl?

We have never done BSC, but COERVER camp is great. They spend a lot of time teaching technical skills.

My kid is younger than yours and plays for bsc and he really enjoyed the camp last year. I do think more older kids do evening camp but he will be fine in day camp as they separate the kids in groups by age (my ds told me this last summer). So he would be working out with the oldest kids.

And even if they were a year or so younger, there are alot of Bethesda kids on top teams that go to the camps. So he will have kids above, at, and below his skill level. A good mixture.

We've never done Bethesda soccer but I am looking at the summer camps for my 12 year old. He's been playing soccer forever, and for the last few years has been on an MSI Classic team. I'd say he's good but not great. Athletic in nature and good game smarts, but has never really trained to acquire all the skills. Would the BSC day camp for the 13 and under be a good fit for him -- or too many little kids? Would the evening program be better? And is it a good program generally?
