I adopted my 2 kids (bio siblings) via the foster care system when I was 31 and single. They were 2 and 3. Thank god for the help we received to make us a family. And the proud grandparents can't thank you enough for their (spoiled rotten) grandchildren. I met my husband a year after the formal adoption and I think they bonded to him more quickly than they did me!

For those who are thinking the adoption route to parenthood (I never considered any other way) it did not cost me a dime. All the money I had saved up from the time I was 17 went into their college fund.
