We actually did lottery into MV but turned it down ... perhaps will regret it someday. Still feels too new.
Would you ebike downtown after? In bad weather? Trying to think that through because we’ve never bike commuted across town without a backup plan.
Yes exactly. Probably not in poor weather. In that case maybe park and take the 16th street bus?
Honestly doubt either of us will have to work in person every day, so hoping to work things out between carpools, shuttle, ebike, and just driving. If parents can split the duty it’s much easier.
That sounds exhausting. Imagine the time and energy you would save by attending a school near your home. Quality of life is important.
It’s not actually that far.
Do you take your kids across town to any activities? Is it exhausting? We do it for the education we want our kids to have. That’s also important.
DP. Yeah but twice a day, 5 days a week for 5-8 years is an entirely different commitment. There’s a cost benefit that goes into whether that commute is worth the incremental increase of that particular school versus a neighborhood option (of which there are many in Brookland).

We did the opposite. Turned down Lamb. We were told no shuttle after campus closes.

No shuttle for next year
You need to stop saying that. It’s not yet been determined.
