If there are rec teams that go by grade and they enter this tournament, wait til you hear the whining that their kid who they red shirted 2 years can't play with his classmates even though he's two years older because he wants to play with friends. I can't wait to hear that complaining.

That makes little too no sense what if you have mostly 9 year old but a few 11 year olds that dominate birth year keeps it as fair as can be.

Well the tournament is based on birth year. You can't have a 11 year old 4th graders from one club play against 9 year old 4th graders from another club.

The FPYC tournament? It’s 7 v 7 for U10 (3rd and 4th grade) and 9 v 9 for U12.

What league plays 9 v 9 in 3rd grade around here?

Then your kid is probably a U10 or U9 in which case it’s 7v7.

There is an all-star tournament for rec and challenge level players being played weekend of June 20. I thought it was 9v9 for 3rd and 4th grade, but Loudoun doesn't have that many on some of its tea
