Have you tried child size surgical masks? I have asthma and can breathe just fine in those. They’re really not uncomfortable. You need to try different masks
He breathes fine, there is no issue there, he just prefers to not wear a mask. Like I said, he wears one when it is required at school and activities and some of his friends houses. But he prefers not having to wear one. I don't think that is all that unusual for kids or adults.
