Offer her hourly rate around the clock.

Unless you are scheduled to be induced/have a c-section, you may need her to come to your house at 2 am when you go into labor. Then your toddler may not sleep the rest of the night, and so forth. 24/7 pay until she is not responsible for your toddler and can go home.

In fact, if you will need her to be on standby so that she can get to your house in under a short amount of time, you need to pay her $75-$100 a day for that as well.

Also, you don’t know if she wants to do it, which should be the first question. Pay comes after she agrees.

We used to pay until 10pm her hourly rate and then an additional $100 for sleeping over and then pay her starting an hour before our child woke up

Ask her. Our nanny stayed with DS eight months ago for two days as a new baby gift to us. We paid her for her usual eight hour day of course and gave her a huge end-of-the-year bonus as well as as many days off as she wanted once my mom got here and quarantined. Otherwise she has a travel rate of $450 a day (24 hour period).

But definitely ask your nanny. We feel very blessed that our nanny truly is part of our family. Having his nanny made it so easy for our toddler.

Nanny here. Ask her. Every nanny will have a different rate based on a ton of factors. How many nights, what your guest room setup is, how well your kid sleeps at night, how different 24 hours a day is from her normal hours, whether she has a spouse/kids/pet/jungle of houseplants that may need attention while she is gone, etc. So it’s very individual. Ask!

Ask her if she would be willing to do it, and pay her what she asks for, or whatever you have agreed on for hours outside of her normal scheduled working hours.

You will get a lot of differing opinions.
Some will say you need to pay normal rate (including overtime hours) for all hours nanny is interacting with child and then a flat overnight fee. So pay for 15 hours of care plus the overnight flat rate. Others will say a flat amount will cover it.

I would say 150-200 (plus her normal pay) would feel right for a one off request at such a specific and special time
