$20 is acceptable but not great.

Really want to emphasize the no laundry part here for OP.

I was a summer babysitter for a few families in Bethesda and NW DC while going to Montgomery College in 2016. While I have plenty of experience I don’t consider myself a professional nanny in any way. I charged $20 per hour and would not have done any laundry.

I hope you already found someone. College students willing to babysit at any pay rate are rarer and rarer.

That’s a nanny, $20/hour

Manassas and bethesda have literally nothing in common.

I would not ask my after school/camp sitter to do laundry. We pay $15 an hour in moco.

I’ve had multiple babysitters (college students who worked 10-15 hours a week, definitely not professional nannies) and they all happily did laundry. Pay was 15-20 an hour.

Exactly this is a babysitter with babysitter pay. You want a nanny? You will be paying nanny rates.

That’s called a nanny. Babysitters don’t do laundry. $20-25/hr + mileage.

What's the going rate in the Potocmac/Bethesda area for a summer babysitter who picks up the kids after camp, takes them to other activities, does their laundry?
