This issue will be big.

I predict the Dem who wins the primary will have a progressive stance and the Republican will get the police union support while using squishy language on reform.

Note: we have a Republican Governor who easily defeated a Dem candidate the last two times. I’m not so sure MD is as progressive as we think we are.

Technically speaking, he did not “host” a keg party but instead attending a keg party with minors consuming alcohol while he was serving as state AG.

Big difference is that the former is criminal while the latter is unethical and negligent.

MD politics have a certain reputation for lack of good governance and Franchot seems to be at the center of that. To borrow a phrase from Trump, he’s a big part of “the swamp”.
