I had problems and used to do a happy dance when she left for college at the end of summer. She boomeranged back during covid and I just quit arguing to survive and it worked.

This is the usual issue.
If you are enforcing a curfew, micromanaging, or hovering, it goes bad very fast.
Banish any sort of “when you’re under my roof” type nonsense from your vocabulary.
Your college kid has been living under crazy pandemic rules away from home for a year, be mindful of that and be patient.

Well, first of all, that's not a "college or university" issue. It a relationship issue. Second, it's only been a week. Third, it's not really your problem; it's your ADULT child's.
