LMVSC 2010 boys. Practice at Lee Park in Alexandria..

BRYC needs one 2010 boys and 2009.

Bethesda Blue lost it’s keeper. Will need a new one for next year.

A good goalkeeper is welcome everywhere. Does he want a full time GK position or a position where he will have playing field time. Talk to coaches and GK trainers at each club and see what they offer. Talk to other parents. Sometimes being on a really good team does not give a goalkeeper many opportunities for development unless the competition is really good.

Has he played at a high level before now? Meaning, does he care about whether he's on the top team in the area or does he want to get better? If he wants to play competitive travel soccer but not with the most talented team. But, he wants to have fun and learn from the best - I would send him to PAC, which practices in Fairfax / Falls Church - Luther Jackson Middle School. The director is Sully Hamid. His son is Bill Hamid, who is the goalkeeper for D.C. United. He won't be working with Bill all the time because of his commitments, but will get a chance to interact and occasionally get coached by him.

If he's already really good, try to send him to an ECNL squad, which includes Arlington, Loudoun, and BRYC. McLean is also in but busy sorting things out right now.
