I also recommend VEO. It’s some of the best times watching your child play. You don’t want to manually record every game — trust me. It’s an investment in their future well spent.

Trace does the work for you. Every time your player touches the ball it creates a clip. The players wear a small sensor that tracks each of them, so everyone gets their own clips. You can rent the system by the season and have the parents chip in or possibly the club would rent it.

We use a camcorder. It's better than veo for closeups, but you probably should stand on a stool or in the stands.

No you can't do it without the subscription. It's expensive. The cheapest way to do this is to set up your own tripod with your ipad/iphone/android phone and manually move the camera and hope you get your child's best moves.

Veo hands down, either the team should share the cost or just buy one for the team and your coach will love you. It's not that expensive, if you live in the DC Metro area come on you can afford it.

Then you can make your own highlight clips after you upload the games

Find out if your club does this for you. Many now do - I would suggest most of the clubs at the level where many of the kids will have legitimate college aspirations.

If you have to do it yourself, an iphone/ipad is probably not good enough. At the very least you will need a good tripod / stand to keep everything steady. But most parents who do this get a decent camera as well.
