Other districts are doing this to ensure that only those for whom in-school learning is a hardship will be able to stay home. Under the law, kids are supposed to spend their days in school, and not working for pay, traveling, or babysitting.
Huh?
There have been stories in APS of kids who took jobs to support their families during COVID and were calling in to class from their breaks. There have also been stories of HS kids put in charge of their younger siblings so parents can work. I know many APS families don't care but I agree that this is an issue. I do not want HS kids to be robbed of their education. If DL works great for some kids, then great, I hope they can stick with it, but not at the expense of being able to have a childhood.

Nothing. They don't care. They want people to DL.
