Yes on both. They also have dismal stats on success for older patients. The only way it's worth it if you suspect immune issues, nobody else will touch that locally.

Another new-ish clinic is Generation Next in NYC. Dr Luk is a mad scientist (in a good way). They specialize in AMA and DOR and only do natural cycle
Or mini stim and very option to try out of the box things. Got my only ever blasts there at 42.

I went to Cornell (dr. Davis) a couple years ago. They always made me come to NY after my second monitoring appointment. They did not seem to like local monitoring. I did a few cycles there. They were ok. My feelings may be colored by not having success, but I don't think they were the panacea that everyone suggests. However, my problem wasn't age.

I’m sorry, I forget the things I comment on sometimes! So I’ve done many Cornell cycles. Two Cornell babies to show for it. You can definitely at least start your monitoring locally at SG or whatever. At first I did travel up for a lot of monitoring. Started with 4am train rides (back on the same day) when we lived in DC. After we moved to Rockville I drove a few times and then eventually they allowed me to do like 80% of my monitoring locally. And then I’d just do a cheap hotel or AirBnB for a few days. It was actually kind of nice and I remember those little NYC trips really fondly. Certainly my success colors those memories.

It’s really very doable. And it’s a great clinic. Worlds better than SG, truly.

Look into CCRM. A lot of older women have success in their Lone Tree office. I don’t know much about their Tysons practice, but I hear that the protocols are shared and at the least, you can do all the monitoring and bloodwork locally and fly out to Colorado for the cycle itself only.

I’m relocating back to DC soon and will potentially need a doctor for an ivf cycle that is somewhat close to pg and easy to get to in the mornings for monitoring appointments after I do school drop offs. I should add that I’m 43 and on the BMI cusp. My issues are tubal and age, of course. My last transfer with a PGS normal did not work but I’m not ready to throw in the towel yet. Who can you recommend to me for dealing with older women?
